Description
TCP/IP – Modbus converter covers the use of Modbus communication via an ‘Intranet’ environment using the TCP/IP
protocols. This converter acts as a device which can act as an interface between Addressable Fire Alarm Panel and the SCADA
/ PLC’s / BMS. Its primary function is to get data from Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel and place it in Modbus format so
that the external communication/monitoring devices can understand the status of Addressable Fire Alarm Panel. TCP/IP is
simply a transport layer protocol and does not change the way data is stored or interpreted inside the message
