The Simplex 2080-9060 Maintenance Switch is a surface-mount key-controlled disconnect switch with integral indicator lamp, engineered for use on releasing appliance circuits (RACs) in fire-suppression systems. By clearly marking and mechanically controlling the service/maintenance mode of the system, it assists technicians and safety staff in disabling the releasing circuit while maintenance is being performed — thereby enhancing safety, serviceability and system integrity. The surface-mount version ships with a red mounting box for visible placement.
Description
The Simplex 2080-9060 Maintenance Switch is a surface-mount key-controlled disconnect switch with integral indicator lamp, engineered for use on releasing appliance circuits (RACs) in fire-suppression systems. By clearly marking and mechanically controlling the service/maintenance mode of the system, it assists technicians and safety staff in disabling the releasing circuit while maintenance is being performed — thereby enhancing safety, serviceability and system integrity. The surface-mount version ships with a red mounting box for visible placement.
Features
- Secure key-operated maintained position switch: key removable only in the “Normal” position. In the “Disabled” position the switch opens the output circuit and places a 16.2 kΩ resistor across the input circuit to initiate a supervisory indication at the host panel.
- Built-in indicator lamp (for the version with lamp) — bright incandescent bulb with red lens, powered from separate 24 V DC source, providing visual confirmation that the RAC circuit is disabled.
- Surface-mount red steel mounting box included for high visibility installation. Flush-mount variant exists but this model is surface mount.
- Rugged stainless-steel faceplate (double-gang size) and three-position contact block housing — built for fire-system environments and service personnel operation.
- Clear labelling of positions: NORMAL, DISC./DISABLE, FIRE SUPPRESSION DISCONNECT/DISABLE — ensures correct use and prevents inadvertent misusage during maintenance.
